Using FramePro with Unreal Engine UE4

UE4

UE4 ships with FramePro.cpp/h already integrated. To connect to a UE4 game:

  1. Set FRAMEPRO_ENABLED 1 in FramePro.h
  2. Start the game
  3. In the in game console, enter "framepro.enabled 1"
  4. In the in game console, enter "stat namedevents"
  5. Connect with FramePro

To record the profile to a file instead of connecting:

  1. Set FRAMEPRO_ENABLED 1 in FramePro.h
  2. Start the game
  3. In the in game console, enter "framepro.enabled 1"
  4. In the in game console, enter "stat namedevents"
  5. In the in game console, enter "framepro.startrec" to start the recording
  6. In the in game console, enter "framepro.stoprec" to stop the recording
  7. Open the .framepro file in FramePro (the name of the file is output in Visual Studio debug output window)

Most versions of FramePro are backwards compatible and will work with older version of FramePro.cpp, however if you do need to update FramePro.cpp you can copy the FramePro.cpp from the FramePro install. If you need to update FrameProUE4.cpp please contact PureDev Software.
